Work performed

  • Detailed technological research (including stratigraphy, FTIR, RAMAN, SEM-EDX, X-ray, IRR, UV), historical-artistic research and preparation of the conservation project
  • Consolidation of highly unstable pictorial layer
  • Surface cleaning dry and then wet using surfactants
  • Gluing of numerous cracks of various degrees of complexity in the wooden support
  • Modification of fixed cradle - design and execution of flexible battens allowing for support deformation
  • Execution of levelling cradle as a preventive action
